TobyMac is on his Toby Mac Hits Deep Tour and will be at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 20, following his shows in Los Angeles and Alabama on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Early this week, the artist won his seventh award at the recently concluded 2016 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

This year, his album "This Is Not A Test" won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. His fellow nominees were Jason Crabb ("Whatever The Road"), Lauren Daigle ("How Can It Be"), Matt Maher ("Saints And Sinners") and Chris Tomlin ("Love Ran Red").

TobyMac shared a photo on Instagram the night he won the award.

The singer was also nominated in Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category for his song "Feel It." However, fellow Christian artist Francesca Battistelli won the award with her song "Holy Spirit" from the album "If We're Honest (Deluxe Edition)."

In an interview by Billboard before he received the award, TobyMac said, "I've always thought my music was for everybody. Sure, I write from a faith perspective but it's about life. It's about relationships, the struggle with relationships— the ones I lose, the ones I fight for and the ones that I gain. It's about how faith plays a role in all that. I just think this is where we need to be. We don't need to be separated out in a box. We need to be right here. So I'm always honored to be here amongst other artists."

His past awards were for "Eye on It" in 2013 as Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and "Alive and Transported" for Best Rock Gospel Album in 2009. The other four awards were when he was in the group DC Talk.

TobyMac talked about music being involved in a revival. In his interview with CBN News after the Grammy's, he said, "I write from the things I experienced. Whether relationships redeemed or relationships that I messed up and lost. I try to write from real life experiences. It might be about things God's Word is teaching me, things that other humans is teaching me. I always say I write about trying to stay in hot pursuit of holiness in this crazy world."

He went on to say that living in God's perspective is his goal.

TobyMac is on a tour until April with other artists such as Britt Nicole, Building 429, Colton Dixon, Capital Kings, Finding Favour and Hollyn.
