'Star Wars Battlefront' February 2016 update: New multiplayer and mission map
"Star Wars Battlefront" just made its February update live and there's a lot of new things to look forward to: Turning Point mode is retained, there's a new multiplayer map on Hoth, there's a combination of playlist from the free Battle of Jakku and standard playlist, and even more updates are coming next month.
EA Star Wars introduced the 40-player 20v20 game mode Turning Point last year in November with the "The Battle of Jakku." After "Battle of Endor," this mode represents the Rebel Alliance conquering the Empire. Since its release, it has been embraced by the community with overwhelming response. The new update adds this feature to all maps that support Walker Assault and Supremacy.
In addition to the Fighter Squadron multiplayer game, the creators have also added a multiplayer map on Hoth. This supports Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point (all featuring 40-player game mode). The new challenge is trying to survive in this planet with the darkness, wind, and snow.
Another added feature is the survival mission Ice Caves, both in single player and co-op mode. This can be found in the planet Hoth. Moreover, due to an increasing public demand, EA Star Wars combined the content playlist from free Battle of Jakku and the standard playlist.
"Star Ward Battlefront" gamers can expect more updates next month. EA Star Wars promises to have more maps, weapons and heroes, plus a whole new mode. Also, the "Star Wars Battlefront" Season Pass is coming next month for the first expansion pack, "Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim." The next one, "Star Wars Battlefront Bespin," will come out in summer followed by "Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" this fall. The last one is still titled "Star Wars Battlefront Expansion Pack 4." They will be releasing that early next year.
The February Update is for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One platforms.
