Scandal Season 4 Spoilers, Cast News: 'Girls' star Lena Dunham to guest in ABC series
"Girls" star and creator Lena Dunham will appear this month in an episode of the popular American political thriller, "Scandal."
According to an article posted on the website of US Magazine, Dunham will have a guest appearance in the ABC television series on March 19.
The Emmy-nominated actress will play the role of a woman "intending to expose sex secrets of some of D.C. most elite," based on a press statement released by ABC.
Dunham, the first woman to win a Directors' Guild Award for Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series, will appear in the 16th episode of Scandal's fourth season entitled "It's Going to be a Kink." The episode was directed by Paul McCrane and written by Matt Byrne.
In photos posted on the Variety website, Dunham is shown sporting corporate clothes and brown wig as she visits the office of Scandal's lead character, crisis management expert Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington.
Dunham was seen in the photos confronting Pope and one of her associates, Quinn Perkins (played by Katie Lowes).
In an earlier interview with Variety, the "Girls" star said she is a long time fan of "Scandal." She also said that being a guest star in the show was her "life's great passion," and expressed interest in appearing in the popular television series as "a senator who did something wrong."
During her guest appearance on "Saturday Night Live," Dunham also took part in a "Scandal" parody.
Aside from Dunham's guest appearance, the remaining episodes of Scandal's latest season will see the return of Vice President Sally Langston, played by actress Kate Burton.
