Reality TV stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner have launched a new mobile game developed by Glu Games Inc. titled "Kendall and Kylie." It was reported to have debuted No. 1 in the Apple app store on Feb 17.

"Kendall and Kylie" is a follow-up game to the "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" game that was created by the same developer and released in 2014.

The new mobile game features a pretend social platform, and it allows the player to create their own character based on Kendall and Kylie – from their colorful nails to their hairstyles. Players get to pretend they are some character who starts out as the new girl in Santa Monica and goes to visit rich neighborhoods in Calabasas and Malibu, California.

In the 2016 D.I.C.E Summit, Glu Games Inc. CEO Niccolo de Masi spoke about how there is a distinct affinity of Kardashian fans to narrative RPGs, and he elaborated why the first mobile game was a success. This could explain why, as soon as the new "Kendall and Kylie" game was released, it topped the app downloads, apart from the obvious fact that the Jenner sisters are famous and has millions of followers on their social network profiles.

The new mobile game of the Jenner sisters has the same cartoonish look as "KKH." However, the new game is now more focused on fashion and is best played at portrait mode in both tablets and mobile phones unlike "KKH" where it was intended to be played in landscape.

De Masi expressed his high hopes that the new mobile game would be as successful as "KKH," which reportedly brought in $200 million of earnings in 2014. He spoke at the 15th Annual D.I.C.E. Summit of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences on Wednesday, Feb 17, to shed some light on the advantages of celebrity social media followers.

In related news, Glu Games Inc., a San Francisco-based game publisher, is apparently developing games that feature celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay as well as pop artists Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and Britney Spears.
