Bobbi Kristina condition latest news update: Brown won't pull plug on Daughter - 'God hearing our prayers'
ATLANTA – Bobbi Kristina Brown will not be taken off life support Wednesday, on the second anniversary of her mother's death in 2012, according to reports. TMZ and the New York Post reported that the 21-year-old would die on Feb. 11, but the family's lawyer has slammed the rumors, calling them "false reports."
"The false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time," attorney Christopher Brown said in a scathing statement Tuesday. "This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence."
Another family source told Us Weekly that there is "no truth to [the rumors] at all," and even Brown's pregnant wife, Alicia Etheridge-Brown, denied the reports.
The celebrity rumor site and the Post both ran stories stating that the family was ready to pull life support from Bobbi Kristina, who was found face down in a bathtub in her Atlanta home Jan. 31. They even said that the girl's grandmother, Cissy Houston, wanted medical equipment removed Wednesday to "bond mother and daughter for eternity."
The Brown family is looking for a miracle recovery for Whitney Houston's daughter, and some members attended a vigil that had hundreds supporting and praying for the family. Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby Brown has not spoken publicly about his daughter's condition in weeks, only requesting privacy through his lawyer.
"We continue to request privacy in the matter," he said in a statement. "We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers."
Paramedics responded to a call from Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend Nick Gordon that she was "drowning" at her Georgia home, TMZ reported. When they arrived, they found her unresponsive, though she was able to be revived at the hospital.
The incident is eerily similar to the circumstances that led to her mother's death three years ago. Houston, a superstar who battled substance abuse, drowned in a bathtub in Beverly Hills, California, on Feb. 11, 2012. Authorities have said cocaine use and heart disease contributed to the singer's death.
