Bobbi Kristina condition, health latest news: Whitney Houston's daughter remains in serious condition, family praying for a miracle
ATLANTA – Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina is currently at Emory University Hospital on in a medically-induced coma while fighting for her life after being found face down in a bathtub at her home, according to reports. Doctors have told father Bobby Brown that they can't do more to help her, but he and the Houston family are praying for a miracle.
Despite doctors reporting that the 21-year-old has little to no brain function, her family is placing their hope in God. The girl's cousin, Jerod Brown, encouraged her friends to pray for her well being.
"Though it seems the odds are against her, though doctors don't see any hope for change ... though it looks impossible for her to stand again STILL PRAY FOR BK," he posted on his Instagram account.
Bobby Brown has offered little to media outlets besides the request for privacy. However, in the face of rampant rumors about his daughter's condition – one tabloid even said that the girl's life support machine was switched off and that the family had gathered to say their final goodbyes – he spoke out, calling the speculation untrue.
"If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day," he stated. "This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place."
Brown and his family took a break from their grieving to celebrate his 46th birthday and the pregnancy of his wife, Alicia Etheridge. The couple already has one 5-year-old son, Cassius.
Brown and his family put their vigil for Bobbi Kristina on temporary hold and headed to a nearby restaurant. One guest was seen holding a present, and two birthday cakes were served, according to E! News.
