The second "Avengers" film, "Age of Ultron," is currently breaking box office records, but fans can already look forward to the next two movies of the highly popular superhero franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Avengers" star Chris Evans revealed that "Avengers: Infinity War," which will be split into two movies, will take nine months to film.

Evans also revealed that the next two "Avengers" films will be shot back-to-back, with production scheduled to start sometime in the "fall or winter of 2016."

"We start the Infinity War, I think, some time in the third quarter. Fall or winter of 2016. That's going to be like nine months to shoot both movies back to back," the actor, who plays Captain America in the "Avengers" franchise, was quoted by The Hollywood Reporter as saying.

The two-part installment of "Avengers: Infinity War" will be directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, who also helmed the Chris Evans-starrer "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

In a related news, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" director Joss Whedon meanwhile hinted that there will be many villains in the next two films, with the Dark Lord, Thanos, as the big villain.

"He [Thanos] was always meant to be the puppet-master until he was done doing that, and then he will be the big villain they face off with. Not sole, I'm sure, there'll be plenty more villains in that monstrous epic," Whedon was quoted by Screenrant.com as saying.

The first part of "Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018. The second part, meanwhile, is slated to hit the big screens on May 3, 2019.
