American Horror Story Hotel release date, cast update: Evan Peters confirmed to be joining new season
Another celebrity has been confirmed to be joining the next season of popular horror miniseries "American Horror Story," and he is a familiar face.
TVLine.com reported this week that American actor Evan Peters is officially part of the fourth season of "American Horror Story," which will be entitled "Hotel."
"American Horror Story" series creator Ryan Murphy himself confirmed this news through a short teaser in his official Twitter account last April 24.
"This season, Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64. #AHSHOTEL," Murphy said in a tweet, without giving extra details.
Peters has appeared in the four other earlier seasons of "American Horror Story." In the first season called "Murder House," he portrayed a mysterious boy-next-door, while in the second season, he was one of those who eventually ended up in the "Asylum."
In the third season called "Coven," the actor portrayed a high school boy involved in a crime, who eventually turned into a zombie.
Last season, Peters was given his biggest role in the horror anthology yet, playing the lobster-clawed Jimmy Darling, the leader of the performers in the "Freak Show."
Just a few weeks ago, another series veteran, Sarah Paulson, was also confirmed to be joining the cast of "American Horror Story: Hotel." Murphy also teased via Twitter that Paulson will be "the baddest bad girl of them all" in the next season.
Peters and Paulson will join fresh faces in the fifth season of the horror anthology, led by pop star Lady Gaga, and popular actor Matt Bomer.
Other confirmed cast members of "American Horror Story: Hotel" include Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.
American Horror Story Hotel is set to premiere later this year in October 2015.
