'WWE 2K17' roster news: Bill Goldberg, AJ Styles, NXT Four Horsewomen to appear in '2K17'?
The release of the much-anticipated "WWE 2K17" is still many months away, but that hasn't stopped fans of the popular wrestling video game from trying to guess which of their favorite WWE performers will be included in the roster for the game's latest edition.
Kenny King, Low Ki, and TJ Perkins have been confirmed to be doing motion capture work for "2K17." King recently posted a photo of himself wearing a motion capture suit at the 2K Sports studios.
Speculation about Bill Goldberg's participation in "2K17" was fuelled after the WWE semi-retired professional wrestler tweeted what many thought was a major hint of his inclusion in the forthcoming wrestling video game. When a Twitter follower asked Goldberg if he is in talks with 2K to be part of "2K17," he didn't answer with a yes or a no; instead, he merely said that he had heard of the rumor.
As Cage Side Seats notes, Goldberg's "2K17" tease could be a prelude to future involvements with the WWE, such as retirement matches or even a possible Hall of Fame induction. This is, the website said, the same tactic previously employed by Sting and Ultimate Warrior.
Although Goldberg has often repeated that he is not coming back to the WWE and that he does not think that a Hall of Fame induction is within his reach, he has also often said that he would love for his son to watch him wrestle. Allowing the WWE to use his image in "2K17" would create a lot of hype for a potential comeback.
Meanwhile, The BitBag suggests that the "Four Horsewomen" of NXT ? Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch, and Diva's Champion Charlotte ? could appear in "2K17" as they were left out in last year's release of "WWE 2K."
The website also notes that AJ Styles, who made his WWE debut in this year's Royal Rumble, could also be in "2K17" as the WWE has just announced that he will not be in "2K16."
