LOS ANGELES (Christian Examiner) – Fans of the bestselling book Same Kind Of Different As Me got a peek at the movie adaptation Wednesday when the film's first trailer was released.

Paramount's Same Kind Of Different As Me is based on the true story of an international art dealer named Ron Hall (Greg Kinnear) who befriends a homeless man named Denver Moore (Djimon Hounsou), who had grown up as a sharecropper in Louisiana.

The movie also stars Renée Zellweger, who plays Hall's wife, the woman whose dreams brought the two men together. Jon Voight plays Hall's father.

The book about the unlikely friendship was published by Thomas Nelson and landed on The New York Times non-fiction bestseller list. It was written by Hall, Moore and Lynn Vincent. Its subtitle was "A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together."

The film, which will be released in February, is not yet rated.
