WASHINGTON (Christian Examiner) -- A U.S. Air Force pilot died Nov. 30 after his F16 Falcon crashed late on Sunday in a "non-combat related incident," U.S. military officials said Monday. The pilot was heading back to his Middle East base when the accident occurred around 11 p.m.
Details behind the plane crash have not been released but the United States has been launching airstrikes against ISIS forces in Iraq and Syria for months. The U.S. Central Command issued a statement Monday clarifying that the incident did not occur in Iraq or Syria, and that the pilot's name would not be released until relatives are notified.
