In January, Microsoft talked about an upcoming update for the Xbox console, and true to their word, the company released last week the latest system update for the Xbox One with OS version: 10.0.10586.1100 (th2_xbox_rel_1602.160210-2122) fre.

Among the new and updated features are a user's ability to once again hide games. This was removed with the NXOE update. Players can again hide content such as betas, trials, etc.

Also, players can now view who are in a party by clicking the "chat" button below the player's name. Another additional feature that comes with the update is the Gamescore Leaderboard, in which users can now see their Achievements from their profile. Their scores can also be compared within the 30-day period they played.

The Xbox Accessories App also has several improvements to make the access for Xbox Elite Wireless Controller easier.

To give more information about the full update, Microsoft released a video discussing more about it. There is also a detailed list of improvements on their website

On a related note, since Microsoft added the Backward Compatibility for the Xbox One console, consumers are undoubtedly demanding more games from it. Backward Compatibility allows gamers to play games that are designed for the Xbox 360 for no additional cost, and it works for both disc-based and digital games.

According to n4bb, among the games that are coming out soon are "Halo Wars," "Skate 3," "Bioshock." "Bioshock 2," "Bioshock: Infinite," and "Call of Duty: Black Ops." Xbox has listed some of the fan favorites titles, such as "Halo Reach," "Fable III," "Assassin's Creed II," and "Fallout 3."

Meanwhile, for the month of March, four games will be available for free for Xbox Live Gold members, two each for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. There's "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment" for the whole month of March and "Lords of the Fallen" from March 16 to April 15 for Xbox One users. On the other hand, "Supreme Commander 2" (March 1 to 15) and "Borderlands" (March 16 to 31) will be available for free for Xbox 360 owners. These last two games will also be accessible to Xbox One owners through Backward Compatibility.
