"Royal Pains" star Mark Feuerstein will be joining the cast of "Prison Break" season 5.

According to a report by TVLine, Feuerstein will be playing the role of Scott Ness, the new husband of Dr. Sara Tancredi. Tancredi's previous husband, Michael Scofield, died of brain tumor and was already buried in the previous season of "Prison Break" which ended in 2009.

However, according to a report by Movie News Guide, this new season will reveal how Michael faked his death. Many Sara-Michael shippers would be excited to see if the romance will continue between the two, but this would undoubtedly create conflict with the coming of the new husband, Scott.

The "Walking Dead" star Sarah Wayne Callies is also rumored to return as Sara. Robert Knepper as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell was also speculated to return. However, these plans are still to be confirmed.

The previous season ended with Dr. Sara being pregnant. Therefore, it is expected that a little toddler will be included in the new season.

The fifth season was already confirmed last August by Fox CEO Dana Walden at the Television Critics Association. She announced that "Prison Break" will still have brothers Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincold Burrows (Dominic Purcell) as lead stars. This will be a continuation of the events of the previous season and will have 10 new episodes.

Various speculations are circulating about the release date of this new season. One report said it will be released in March. Another report said it might be shown late this 2016 or early 2017. Regardless, fans are undoubtedly excited for the return of the series. Digital Spy mentioned that the new season will start filming in spring of 2016.

The show's production team includes Paul T. Scheuring as series creator and show-runner, plus Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead as executive producers.
