Fans waiting for the sequel to the hit comedy-musical, "Pitch Perfect 2," were treated this week to a new trailer for the upcoming film.

The new trailer showed the Barden Bellas performing at Washington for no less than the President of the United States.

In the middle of the girl group's rendition of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," Fat Amy, played by comedienne Rebel Wilson, experiences a wardrobe malfunction and ends up exposing herself to the audience.

This results in the Barden Bellas' suspension. They are soon replaced by the Sound Machine, a European singing group which becomes a tough competition for the film's protagonists.

To have the suspension lifted, the Barden Bellas embark on a mission: to win the World Championships, where they face off with Sound Machine and other a cappella groups from across the world.

In the course of their journey to the World Championships, the girls of Barden Bellas grow closer, and face the reality that some of them will have to leave soon.

Quite interesting, the new teaser did not include clips showing the Barden Bellas' archrival from their school, The Treblemakers.

The new trailer also features a short clip of the Barden Bellas' performance of Beyonce's smash hit "Who Run The World (Girls)."

A first teaser was released by Universal Pictures last November. The trailer, which already has over a million hits on YouTube, showed the Barden Bellas a slow version of the movie's official theme song "Cups (You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone)."

"Pitch Perfect 2," directed by Elizabeth Banks, is set to hit theaters this coming May. The film stars Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Adam DeVine and Anna Camp.

The original film, which was shown in theaters last 2012, gained so much popularity and earned over $65 million in the United States alone.
