Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and undefeated American fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. both came under the welterweight division limit for their highly anticipated mega-fight this weekend.

Pacquaio and Mayweather's weigh-in took place in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 11,500 fans at the jampacked MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday, British news agency BBC reported.

According to ESPN, Pacquaio—the clear crowd favorite with 57 wins and five losses—first stepped onto the weighing scale, and registered a weight of 145 pounds, two pounds under the welterweight division limit.

His rival, Mayweather, weighed in next, and recorded 146 pounds.

After the weigh-in, the rival boxers came face-to-face in an electric staredown. Mayweather seemed to be more aggressive and barked some words to Pacquiao, who was taking the moment more lightly with a smile on his face.

In an interview after the weigh-in, Pacquiao shrugged off Mayweather's size advantage.

"I've been fighting bigger guys. It doesn't bother me," the Filipino boxing icon told HBO.

Pacquiao also once again promised a "good fight" for his fans and Mayweather's loyal followers.

Mayweather, for his part, said he is focused and ready to fight Pacquiao.

"I'm ready. I'm ready to fight. This is an unbelievable turnout. Now it's time to go out there and do what we do best," the American boxer said.

Pacquiao and Mayweather will face off on May 2, in a fight for the World Boxing Council, World Boxing Association and World Boxing Organization welterweight titles.

The Pacquaio-Mayweather bout, dubbed "Battle For Greatness," is expected to be one of the most profitbale boxing matches in history, with $400 million in projected earnings.

Ahead of the fight HBO and Showtime have moved to get a number of websites looking to offer free live streams of the fight taken down. A court order was given ordering a temporary order for sites to take down their offers for free live streams. However, whether they will last up till the opening bell remains to be seen.

Regardless, boxing fans can watch the bout on TV on HBO or Showtime PPV, with the main bout set to have a start time of roughly 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m. local time). The Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight can also be watched online through Showtime PPV live stream by clicking here.
