Nicki Minaj Twitter Message to Safaree Lloyd Samuels Sees Singer Hit Back
The friction surrounding singer Nicki Minaj and ex-boyfriend Safaree Lloyd Samuels is not yet over, as Minaj recently posted a Twitter message appearing to hit back at her ex.
Previously, according to The Daily Mirror UK, Samuels claimed that the 'Anaconda' rapper had treated him "like an employee."
But Minaj has hit back, and as she prepared to promotes her new album Pink Print, the rapper/singer tweeted, "Always look past what a person is SAYING and see their INTENT. Intent will give u a different level of understanding."
Meanwhile, about Samuels claim, he has said, "I walked away. I'm not going to say I broke up, but I'm the one who walked away. I packed up my stuff and I left."
"I just got to the point where the respect wasn't there. Everyone around her works for her, you know? So it got the point where it was like, I'm your man. I'm who you go to sleep with every night. I'm who you wake up with every morning. And it got to the point where I was being treated like an employee, instead of like her man."
Since that time, Minaj has been linked to Meek Mill.
Samuels has said, "If that's who she decides to move on with, it is what it is. I'm not mad, I'm not bitter because if I wanted to make it work, I could've made it work... He don't owe me nothing. He's not the childhood friend I grew up with."
Minaj's ex-boyfriend has also claimed that he helped the "Super Bass" rapper with her songwriting.
Samuels told Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" radio show: "Don't say, 'Oh, I don't have no talent' because every time it came to writing raps and doing music, it was me, her and a beat. She doesn't do it by herself. It was me and her.
"Don't discredit me on what I've done for you, that's weak. I would never do that for her.
"All I'm saying is this is something me and her did together. That doesn't take away from what she's done. She's at the top of her league."
