Hayley Williams and Chad Gilbert married news 2016: Couple tie the knot
Paramore's vocalist and song writer Hayley Williams, now Mrs. Gilbert, tweeted a photo of herself together with her new husband, New Found Glory's guitarist Chad Gilbert, and their dog. This post came a few days after the couple got married.
Williams captioned the photo, "HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIIIIIDE! - The Gilberts."
Gilbert posted the same photo on Instagram and captioned: "We Deeeeeed it!"
On Saturday, Williams and Gilbert got married in Nashville. They stayed together for more than seven years and were engaged for over a year.
The couple exchanged vows and this was witnessed by about 50 people inside the Franklin Theater in Nashville, Tennessee. They celebrated their wedding together with their guests at Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant in downtown Nashville, as reported by E! Online.
The couple was photographed kissing and dancing. They look very much in love. Gilbert wore a tartan Ben Sherman shirt and an all-black suite while Williams wore a white chiffon wedding dress, and later changed into a white T-shirt with red "Chad" written across for the party.
Williams, 27 and Gilbert, 34 started dating in 2008. Gilbert proposed on Christmas of 2014 and, after a week, they broke the news through social media with an image of their heads cut out and pasted on a bride and groom picture.
Their seven years age gap initially became an issue among their fans when they broke the news that they were dating.
"Yeah, I'm dating Hayley. She is my girlfriend, and we are seven years apart. She's 19 so she's the age 'teen,' but in reality, it's only seven years... But if you respect hayley and her band and their music, then you'll know she's extremely mature for her age, and she's not like a normal 19-year-old girl," Gilbert explained in speaking with Rocksound, according to Radio.com News.
Williams and Gilbert were silent about the wedding; however, USA Today reported last month that they applied for a marriage license at the Williamsons County Clerk office in Tennessee.
