The Los Angeles Lakers flirted with the prospect of Greg Monroe in their roster last year during his free agency. However, lady luck wasn't in favor with the Lakers as Monroe chose the Milwaukee Bucks as his next team.

In a sudden twist of fate, the Bucks have surprisingly considered the prospect of dealing Monroe a very well-shaped trading chip in return.

The Bucks have let it slipped that they are willing to let go of Monroe, their prized catch from last year, along with Michael Carter-Williams ? two players who are a high-value in the market trade if the price is right, according to sources from the Journal Times.

The Wisconsin-based basketball team has been known to make a full-roster shakedown come trade deadline. Last season, they sent point guard Brandon Knight to scorch it up with the Phoenix Suns in Arizona while taking under their wing Philadelphia 76ers point guard and 2014 Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams.

The big man has been piling double-double numbers in Milwaukee. According to Basketball Reference, the former Georgetown Hoyas standout has been averaging 16.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

However, Monroe hasn't really been that keen in the defensive end of the shaded lane and has instead also created a null in the Bucks' by not using his body as a screen in the pick-and-roll.

An achievable trading starter pack had been concocted if Milwaukee proceeds in shipping Monroe out of Wisconsin as mentioned by Hoops Habit. With the Los Angeles Lakers foreseeing their future in a roster of neophyte D'Angelo Russell being the floor general and sophomore Jordan Clarkson on the other end of the backcourt, and Julius Randle being a stretch-4, the "Purple-and-Gold" has a reduced role in the likes of Roy Hibbert and Larry Nance Jr.

The once-grizzled Hibbert could provide the necessary ceiling for protection in the Bucks to complement 25-year-old Buck John Henson, while Nance Jr. is a 6-foot-9 future project in the making who isn't afraid to use his body to bulldozed his way to the rim.
