Lady Gaga caught the attention of those at the recent Grammy Awards night with her reddish-orange hair, full blue eye-shadow with glitters, high-heeled strappy, red platform shoes and a long blue gown.

Gaga, according to The Hollywood Reporter, was wearing a creation by the American fashion designer and creative director Marc Jacobs. Jacobs made an embroidered long-sleeved, floor length, blue coat-like gown with plunging neckline. It also has a towering front slit that exposes her full legs.

Gaga's look was inspired by Ziggy Stardust. The late rock star David Bowie created Ziggy Stardust for his album in 1972, which has an image of a flame-haired, alien rock star wearing a blue suit and with blue eye-shadow. Since Gaga is known for her splashy looks and that she was going to give tribute to Bowie, she recreated Ziggy and stunned the people with her flamboyant "Life on Mars" look.

The glamorous Gaga also turned her eyelids into a full blue shadow with sparkling glitz. This was her take on Ziggy's blue eye make-up.

Gaga's red carpet photo gained applause and bashings on social network. Those who understood Ziggy Stardust were impressed with Gaga's look. Others found it a brilliant recreation of Ziggy. Some said that it was respectful and genuine. Someone tweeted she was "a perfect bowie!" While others still poked fun at Gaga's costume, saying she looked like Ms. Frizzle, Wilma Flintstone, Chuckie from Rugrats, The Wizard in "Fantasia," and Poison Ivy.
