Kate Middleton and Prince William have finally got their official royal Twitter account set up. The official royal Twitter account is @KensingtonRoyal which was created January 14.

The Twitter account will follow updates from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as William's younger brother Prince Harry.

The first tweet of the account reads, "Hello from Kensington Palace! Welcome to our new Twitter account. This account represents The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry - follow for updates on their work and the #RoyalFoundation."

The first tweet was followed up by another update.

"Prince Harry stands on tiptoes but still fails to measure up to 7ft 2in @officialmutombo at #Coachcore graduation."

"@KensingtonPalace joins existing royal handles @BritishMonarchy and @ClarenceHouse."

Aside from Twitter, the royal family created an official Instagram account on Wednesday. The official Instagram account is @kensingtonroyal.

There are several fake accounts created claiming they're the royal couple or royal family, but the royals have now officially launched their own one at the above handle.

In related news, information about the gifts that Prince William, Kate Middleton and their baby Prince George received  during their tour of Australia, New Zealand and New York last year have been revealed.

Buckingham Palace revealed documents saying that members of the public can now see what kind of presents the Duke and Duchess were given. The gifts include a polo mallet, pillow cases, a basket of honey and a decorated ostrich egg.

Prince William and Kate had three-weeks Down Under in their tour last April, wherein the royal couple received some of the "most unusual gifts," like a hip flask, a sleeping bag and a beanie hat made of camel hair, all presented to them by local authorities who were showing them around.

They received a giant wombat toy from Australia's Governor-General Peter Cosgrove.
