Asus ZenFone 2 Release Date, Specs News: New Device Set to Launch March 2015

Taiwanese tech company Asus is expected to release its newest smartphone, the ZenFone 2, this month.

According to a report posted on The Fuse Joplin website, the Asus ZenFone 2 is likely to hit the market on March 31.

The newest Asus smartphone was rumored to be released on March 9, but the tech company has not issued any formal invitation to a launch event so far.

The Asus ZenFone is nevertheless already available for pre-order, after it was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show last January.

Asus itself has also provided details on the specifications of its newest smartphone. According to the tech company's website, the ZenFone 2 will have an "ultra-thin ergonomic arc design," measuring 3.9 mm at the edges.

The new Asus smartphone will also have a 72 percent screen-to-body ratio, featuring a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a 403ppi pixel density and a slight 3.3 mm bezel.

The Asus ZenFone 2 will also be faster than any of its predecessors, powered by a 2.3 GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor Z3580, and with a 4 GB RAM to support quicker web surfing and video playback.

This phone also boasts of a 13 MP PixelMaster front and rear camera and an f/2.0 aperture lens, which will help capture up to 400 percent brighter photos.

The ZenFone 2 will also feature a Real Tone Flash for warm skin tones and more accuracy of color.

Aside from these, the Asus ZenFone 2 will also empower users to customize its ZenUI mobile user interface with different themes, fonts and icons.
