Phoenix Suns trade rumors 2016: Troubled Markieff Morris, where will his next destination be?

With the trade deadline around the corner, basketball fans of the now flamed-out Phoenix Suns want to know if their perennially troubled power forward Markieff Morris will still be suiting up in Suns uniform after Feb. 18.

The power forward's basketball soap opera with the Phoenix front office has been played like a broken record in the media: Markieff becomes disgruntled when twin brother Marcus has to pack his bag to play for Detroit, Markieff then expresses desire to be traded, management doesn't grant such request, Markieff complains to the press, and then his mood changes just before the season kicks in.

Ultimately, his on-court performance then suffered, which relegated him to bench duties prior to the Jeff Hornacek-towel-throwing-and-coach-firing scenario.

Just as the dust seemed to have settled on Talking Stick Resort Arena, a heated argument and a deliberate shoving happened between the reinstated forward and Suns playmaker Archie Goodwin.

The latest outburst from the beleaguered Suns forward occurred during Wednesday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, when Morris shoved teammate Archie Goodwin during a heated confrontation near the Phoenix bench. It says a lot about the situation on Planet Orange when fans are debating whether Morris also choked a much smaller teammate, or whether it was just a simple assault.

"I just feel sad," NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley told AZ Central of his former team's downward spiral. "I feel sad for Suns fans because you don't see any direction. And if you've got one guy fighting the younger guy he's supposed to be leading, well, that's just a dead end. There is no light at the end of the tunnel."

With these tomfooleries still being stirred up by Markieff, his value produces an off-putting locker room cancer in his future team.

Basketball Insiders mentioned a number of destinations preceding the bench incident that could be symbiotic for both the Suns and their interested parties.

The Charlotte Hornets are looking for a power forward that could be another hefty body alongside an injury-plagued Al Jefferson. A trade for 7-foot-1 Spencer Hawes will work wonders for the Suns as Hawes is a big man who can shoot well from mid-range and the three-point area.

Another viable forecast would be the Houston Rockets' Corey Brewer and Terrence Jones. Both Brewer and Jones are gritty players: Brewer is an all-out energy in the wing, and Jones can tap his potential of being a stretch four as he has a sweet touch on the three-point field.

The Suns may have long eaten away their flame for this season but the upcoming 2016 draft could bring a much-needed change for them, especially with the Suns a shoo-in for first five draft pick, according to Bright Side of the Sun
