Kingdom Hearts 3 release date, news update: Could be coming late 2015, but no confirmed launch date yet
The third installment of the Kingdom Hearts franchise may arrive in late 2015, although the game's developer has yet to come out with any official release date.
According to an article posted on TechTimes.com, Kingdom Hearts III will be released later this year, based on a Twitter post by Bill Farmer, a voice actor who provides the voice of Goofy in the franchise.
"We have been recording on it [Kingdom Hearts III] for the last few years. It is supposed to come out later this year," Farmer said in a tweet.
The voice actor however removed the tweet later on, and posted another tweet where he said, "The release date for Kingdom Hearts III has not been announced yet!"
Square Enix, the Japanese game developer behind the Kingdom Hearts franchise, has also yet to confirm an official release date for the game's third installment.
In fact, the Square Enix USA Twitter account said last January 8, "There was a Goof! The release date for Kingdom Hearts III, remains unannounced."
The last installment of this franchise, Kingdom Hearts II, was released way back in 2005.
Another popular Square Enix game, Final Fantasy, has also been dormant for quite a while now, which may suggest that the game developer may come indeed out with one major release this year.
Two years ago, a short E3 trailer was released, confirming that Kingdom Hearts III is indeed in the works.
