'Better Call Saul' season 2 spoilers: Bob Odenkirk dishes on Jimmy's love life, future 'Breaking Bad' character cameos
After months of waiting, fans of AMC's popular "Breaking Bad" spin-off will finally be able to watch the series' second season when it airs Feb. 15.
"Better Call Saul" star Bob Odenkirk, who plays small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill in the series, recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about the new season and revealed several details about his character's mindset and love life in season 2.
"I think the character is finding himself," Odenkirk said. "So because he knows himself a little bit, he's not wandering in the dark now. He's got a little bit of wind at his back."
As for what Jimmy will be up to when the season starts, Odenkirk said: "He is reveling in his big eff-you when we start. Of course, that isn't going to last forever. You can't tell the world to f— off forever."
Although that sounds like there's a lot of trouble up ahead for the future Walter White (Brian Cranston) accomplice, Odenkirk also revealed that his character will find love in the show's latest season. According to the actor, Jimmy will discover that Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn), his love interest and fellow lawyer, is able to appreciate his cunning side and that he may have a real shot at a relationship with her. This, he said, is one of the things that will motivate him to do what he wants and bring out his Saul Goodman persona.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Odenkirk also talked about the new characters who will be making their way to the series in its second season, saying, "You know, Albuquerque is a city, but it's not as big as L.A. or New York, so the [Breaking Bad] characters are here. They're going to see each other."
The second season of "Better Call Saul" airs Monday, Feb. 15, at 10 p.m. on AMC.
